Brand new start....

Great weekend.... testimony to share...

Last Saturday had Tropical BBQ Nite for my youth group...about 45++ people turned up (youths only)...coz many couldn't come due to the rain...

We were praying that the weather would be perfect...But as we were all preparing and getting the fire started...There we see the dark clouds approaching...then rain drops start to fall like raining cats n dogs....And the music was playing the song "rain down" by planet shakers.

Well...I've learn something from this event....when we serve God, we do have our plans but ultimately God has a greater plan and bigger picture that we might not see now.. I'm really happy that many showed up and have enjoyed the nite though the rain made some occasion a little messy here n there...But I must say God was in control.

Next step is to help the youths to reach out to their friends and not lose contact of the youths who turned up...continue to pray for them..

After all tht, my leg was aching.body tired.I just sat by the poolside, eventhough it was raining a bit after the games we had (when the rain paused).

Sunday morning lead the worship... I really gave my best to God and truly thank God for sustaining me the whole week... But even right now, as I start my class I need to sort a lot of things and manage my time well..this year is my final year and I don't want to mess around.

There are lots of burden in me...as I want to do a lot more for God's ministry...But I guess right now I must study welll to glorify Him and do my best to honor Him.

Today, my 1st day of class after a long break frm college. I enjoyed almost all the lectures. I have one unit "World Religion" taught by Mr. Ong Kien An. This lecturer is not very tall, spikey hair, looks a bit like Uncle Vince (one of my church fren)...speaks really farny (not weird, interesting I guess) ..eg. body--pronounce something like (boudy)...I could hear Lynette correcting him softly many times...But it seems like he didn't notice it.

He gave us two assignments.. We have to prepare for a upcoming debate on some religion issues. Then we have to choose to attend a talk (either Buddhism or Christianity) which of coz i opt. for the latter. After attending the talk with my group members, I am suppose to prepare a group presentation based on the talk that we attended.

So right now---Mission: Find any church that is holding any talk which preferably has an interesting topic.

I really have to pray for this. And friends, please pray for me...This could also be the time to reach out and share the gospel to my non-believing friends..Really pray that God would open their hearts as well.

hmm...gtg sleep now...tomoro class 9am-12pm lab practical only....ciao

Overstretched?? Pushed to the limits??

This week is the final week for me to rest before I actually start  my class on the 29th of May... Gosh, time flies... another 9 months and I'm graduating...

Yesterday, I went out with Uncle Vinze to buy all the stuff for the BBQ and church camp. Long day...but was fun also... At the end of the day...sneezing and caught a cold and flu got me...

But feeling much better this morning after 4 tablets of vitamin C...

3 major things to work on for this month and next...
a) Tropical BBQ Nite (27 May 06)

    - This poolside BBQ is mainly to create a neutral ground for the youths to invite their friends and from here we be their friends and slowly reach out to them...coz Christianity is not just abt preaching and the Word all the time...we as Christians do have fun and fellowship with other believers and nonn-believers...But in every thing that we do, we have to guard ourselves becoz people of the world do observe the way we walk, talk and behave...As we are the salt and light of the world, we must have a a godly life, whereby our lives must 1st of all honor God, and let the world see how our lives are changed to be more purpose driven when we have Christ in our life and the relationship with our Father in heaven.

b) Worship leading  (28 May 06)

    - Before I decided to worship lead this Sunday, I was hesitating to worship lead or not... There are so many things ahead of me to do plus my new semester is about to start soon.. Responsiblities are all on my shoulders. Although there are some encouragement and support, but sometimes I do feel pressure out, stressed out, stretched out... I happy to do all these things, but I guess too many responsibilities can really bring me down..But in every situation, I will have some important lesson to learn...So be strong and of courage, for the Lord my God is with me..By God's grace I will pull through...so please keep me in your prayers..

c) Church camp "Dare to Care" (8-11 June 06)
    - I'm really excited about this year's church camp...so many stuff to look forward to...hmm...such as the workshops, sessions, games and a whole lot of time to fellowship with everyone and most importantly to care for every life that has a contact with me.. Looking forward to learn something new from this camp...

hmm...after all these, I praise God for all that I have learned so far...just in this 3 months...I was touched, moved and transformed by God...everything I do seem to be more meaningful when my purpose is found in God... When I was down, God picked me up and used me to encourage and care for others instead of just letting myself be down and under... Truly trusting in God gives me the deep security and the assurance that no matter what happens...even if the end times were to come...my fears will be removed becoz God is with me...

GIG JB

After the GIG in Kampar & Ipoh, I have decided to use my life to bless, care and pray more for the people around me..

Well, last friday I went with the Campus City team together with Ps. Ryan and Ps. Kenneth Chin to JB for GIG.

The trip was great... Morning, we went to the Hub to gather and pray before we start the journey. In the bus, we had "char siew pau" which was vy good (Daphne recommended it...and its really tasty)

As we travel to JB, the bus got a punctured tyre, so we had to detour and dropby at the nearest workshop to get the tyres changed. So we stopped at Pagoh...and mann...the restaurant next to the workshop is full of houseflies all over the place... so gross!! So we jz had a drink there then stopped at the R&R area in Machap...which was more or less similar.. though it looks a bit cleaner but...sigh...these 2 place gave me a vy bad impression. I'm neva gonna go back to those 2 place...

When we reached Holy Light Church, JB. wow...tht place is nice...very spaceous...and I had a great experience again... I prayed and read Isaiah 49 before the night concert started. After that, the worship was awesome...Gods presence just filled the whole place...Then we had an altar call to pray for the people...

I was prepared to pray for some young people..but God somehow has another plan for me...I layed hands on one lady aged around early 50s ...I pray for her specifically as she requested and her request was just like what I have read from Isaiah 49. God really works in miraculous ways when we allow Him to work in us.

At the end of the trip, I'm really happy that God used me to pray and touch the life of others. And I want to continue to have this passion in me...bcoz I have finally found my peace and joy in the Lord. As long as we serve the Lord from our hearts, our rewards is with the Lord.
